In 1969, Sheetal was born as India’s first branded ready-to-wear store. At a time when tailored clothing was the norm, we introduced a revolutionary concept: a one-stop-shop catering to the entire family. Driven by a passion for fashion and a vision to redefine shopping, we laid the foundation for what would become a landmark in Indian fashion.

By 1990, we established India’s first in-house design team, led by the renowned Hemant Trevedi. This move revolutionized Indian fashion, offering ready-to-wear trousseaus, wedding wear, and designer prêt collections, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

Our designs have graced Miss Worlds and Miss Universes such as Aishwarya Rai (1994), Sushmita Sen (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mukhi (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Lara Dutta (2000). Our garments have also been featured in iconic Bollywood films including Rangeela (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000), and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).

2002 marked a significant milestone as Sheetal expanded globally, opening stores in key international locations, including the Gulf countries, New Jersey, Chicago, London, and Dubai. From a modest 800 sq. ft. store to over 50,000 sq. ft., and from 40 employees to over 600, our global footprint grew, reflecting our transformation from a local name to an international brand.
